Catching up

Well it has been a while! We are doing well and while Dami takes his morning nap I figured I would catch up on blogging, but I can't find the camera!

Kevin is back at school after a nice break from studying. We enjoyed a week of Daddy time which was good timing since I caught a bug on Monday that wiped me out for a full day. I think I slept all of Monday except to feed Dami and go to the doctor. When I did wake up I could hear the boys out in the living room having fun playing silly games!

The rest of the week was spent looking at houses and hanging around the house. We went on walks around the neighborhood a few times. On Thursday night we met Grandpa David, Great-Grandma Turnbough, and Great- Aunt Carol for dinner at Mimi's cafe in Arlington and then we headed back to her house to hang out. It was a great time to visit and Dami even showed off a little of his walking skills!

On Friday we looked at a few more houses. Then we headed out to East Texas to visit Grandma Cathy and Grandpa Richards farm! We had such a nice visit. Friday night Richard made us dinner of tilapia, potatoes, corn and rolls. It was delicous Kevin and I finished everything up I think! Dami got to explore and helped Grandma feed the baby goat and then we called it a night.

On Saturday we slept in a bit and then woke up to find Grandma already had gone fishing and was working in her sewing studio! After we ate a bit of breakfast we played some more and then Uncle Andrew and Jess arrived. Then we all headed outside to feed the animals (mostly Bubba the donkey) carrots. Damian didn't know what to think of Bubba but I think he grew on him a little. He even tried to feed him a carrot, but it ended up on the ground. We all headed over to the pond for some sitting, relaxing and fishing. Damian like playing the grass and the dogs like to try and kiss him! He learned pretty quick to push them to the side with his arm. Uncle Brian arrived while we were outside and started fishing right away. I don't remember exactly but I think Andrew is the only one that caught anything. Dami and I headed inside for a nap while everyone else stayed out and Kevin got sunburned.

When we woke up Grandma Cathy and Jess had gone to the store to get lunch, so everyone came back inside and we had a wonderful lunch. Richard had been working hard all day on some remodeling projects that are coming along nicely! Dami kept trying to go in and help him but we thought it might be a few more years until he is up to that! The rest of our visit was spent relaxing and even some Wii bowling was played. We headed back to Ft. Worth about 4pm and Dami slept the whole way home!

Saturday night we got to see our friend Chris Kellerman finally! He was in town for spring break and we went to The Original Mexican Resturant on Camp Bowie for a wonderful meal! We can't wait until Chris moves back here soon, so we can see him more often!

Sunday we went to Mass and then grocery shopping on base. This has become a routine that I really enjoy. One week we are going to do a picnic too, but we haven't gotten around to it yet! That night we headed to Arlington for dinner with Grandpa JP, Grandma B, Aunt Sara, Uncle Sean, and Mat. We saw Anna for a minute but then she had other plans. It was a nice end to a busy week.

As soon as I find the camera I will upload pictures, but until then you just have to read about our week (I know it isn't as exciting as pictures).
