Progress on the house!

Well a few days ago I started a post and then it magically disappeared so here is my second attempt!

Alot has changed since our last post about the house! We have successfully passed two inspections, the rough in inspection of the framing, electric, HVAC and plumbing and the insulation inspection so we could start dry walling! So instead of a bunch of words here are a bunch of pictures with captions.

Bill digging the trench for the electrical wires.

The trench, so we don't have wires hanging over the backyard.

The new electrical service on the side of the house instead of the middle of the back.

Some of the duct work and electrical wires.

The new hardwood floors in the kitchen! The rest of the house was patched, where walls had been taken out.

The start of the drywall on the ceiling of our bedroom.

Drywall in the kitchen!

Some insulation and walls going up.

The fence going up! We painted the metal brown and have cedar boards to do a shadow box fence all the way around the backyard.

More of our fence!

The fence is supposed to get done this week and the taping and bedding is happening as we speak! We are still expecting to be in it before Christmas and are so excited!

  2. Wow! I'm impressed! Are y'all doing it all yourselves? I think I remember you saying Kevin and your dad were going to do the work. If so, I'm even more impressed! I can't wait to see the final outcome! Best wishes on the rest of the project!
