Our little guy had a big birthday party on Sunday to celebrate (almost) being 1! We had the party at my folks house, since our house is pretty little. We did a train theme and had train hats and whistles for the little ones and I think my teacher side came out making different projects and "stations" around the house. Mostly everyone ate, talked and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
Damian got a nap in right before the party and I was so thankful, because that left him rested and ready to be a great little birthday host! He wore his Osh Gosh conductor overalls and was ready to party. He was too cute playing with the other little ones with the train set Uncle Mat let him borrow! Aunt Sara made a delicious (and adorable) Wacky Cake for Dami and it was his first dive into sugar! He was a little unsure at first but then went to town digging in and even sharing it with Daddy!
We are so thankful to have been blessed with our sweet Damian! Every day he seems to change and grow and a year has almost passed! From being born in Lubbock, to me going back to work for a few weeks, to Kevin leaving for a month for Air Force training, to moving to Fort Worth, and Kevin starting med school, it hasn't been an easy year but boy has it been worth it! My favorite thing he does right now is give hugs and kisses. It is so sweet a pure the best kind of love you can recieve!
And what you have been waiting for... pictures!
