Friday morning we woke up and played around the house a bit. Damian enjoyed seeing all the new people again. After a while we headed to pick up Aunt Eldre and head to Farmer Gurtz' farm. I have no idea if that is really how you spell it but I tried. Em had picked out these beautiful flowers for the rehearsal dinner and we were in charge of pick up and arranging (and by arranging I mean pinning ribbon around the mason jars and they were done)! It was fun to have a project to help with and Damian loved seeing the farm.
I think my Aunt's like Clare a bit!
Have I mentioned I want a minivan? This trip solidified it. Both car seats fit great and there were still 5 more seats available. Though a Toyota Sienna with 8 seats would be my preference, but really I'm dreaming! That focus is going to hold out through most of residency I hope!!!
One of Damian's favorite things about the "vacation house" was the chess board that was set up down stairs. Here he is in an intense game with Uncle Rick. He was also found on other occasions playing different variations of the game with other family members!
Clare had a big weekend she learned to roll from back to front and thought it was pretty cool and also can sit up on her own. She is still a little shaky but she is growing so fast!
I packed Damian's backpack with books and markers and paper but didn't bring nearly enough books! He is such a bookworm and was really enjoying all the Aunts reading to him. Here is Aunt Deed reading to him upstairs.
After nap we all got ready to head to the rehearsal dinner. It was at the restaurant where Emily and Fitz met when they both worked there. The food was wonderful and the company even better!
The happy couple, the day before the wedding!
Can those flowers be prettier! Thank you so much for your help in making the rehearsal so beautiful and for making the weekend so fun! I love you all so much!
ReplyDeleteI saw the farmer this morning at the local Farmer's Market. He asked about the wonderful children from Texas that visited his farm. He does need a combine driver, if anyone is skilled and wants to volunteer. He does not have time to teach combine driving right now though.
