from the mouth of a 2 3/4 year old

I woke Dami up from his nap this afternoon so we could head to the Turnbough family Christmas party. It is always a gamble when we have to wake him up early if he will be grouchy or happy. Today he woke up smiling and ready to go. He told me "I wrapped up in my blankets. Thems my raccoon." I asked if he meant his cocoon and he said "yea, I have to sleep longer and be a butterfly."

Last night we were driving around looking at Christmas lights and at one house that was really lit up he said "Wow, that is ammmazzing!" It took Kevin and I both by surprise and melted our hearts. First we didn't know amazing was part of his everyday vocabulary and second we are just loving watching him enjoy and discover the wonder and awe of the Christmas Season!
