What are we up to these days

Daddy: He is about to finish up his 1st semester of 3rd year! Do we really only have 1 1/2 years left? He has decided to do family medicine and then maybe take the option of doing an OB fellowship (1 year) after his residency. So far he has really liked all of his rotations and is loving seeing patients! He thinks his detail oriented (perfectionist) tendencies are really helping him make a difference in all of his patients health as well as make an impression with the attendings and residents! He is working so hard and we cherish the time we have together!

Mommy: I'm busy keeping up with the household. You would think with just four people, our laundry wouldn't pile up but it sure does! I'm trying to be a little crafty too and have picked up a few projects and am excited about the final products (Christmas gifts).  I may have bitten of more than I can sew, but good thing the kids are young and won't notice if gifts are completely done! And apparently I need to get out from behind the camera more often. This is the only picture I could find without the whole family that had me in it and it is from September!

Damian: He is such a funny guy. He cracks us up and surprises us daily with the things he remembers and says. He is drawing more and more distinguishable people. He does a big circle body and adds feet to the bottom. He loves turning everything into a "daddy, mama, Dami and Clare" even if it is just a pile of sticks! He loves walks and time with grandparents and aunts and uncles. Damian is also getting more opinionated about what he wears and when he changes. Today at nap he decided he had to have pj's on before he could go to sleep. So he is now sound asleep in his train pjs and I doubt he will agree to change when he wakes up!

Clare: Our little Bear is working so hard to crawl. She can get where she wants to go but still hasn't gotten her belly of the ground. She says Mama and Dadda though not on command.  A funny story, the other night she was up quite a bit because of a cough. At one point Kevin went to take her for a bit and when she got to his arms she said "dada" and then when she got restless and wanted to come back to me she said "mama"! We were both pretty surprised but it was unmistakable that she new what she was saying. It was a bright spot in a long night and something I hope not to forget! She also started doing "Sooo big"! It is too fun, whenever we as her "How big is Clare?" she squashes her arms up by her cheeks and has the biggest smile while we say "sooo big"! Dami loves joining in on this!
